When he was sixteen Michael worked in a government mail room, operating an x-ray machine to scan incoming deliveries for explosives and bio-chemical weapons. Today he is an award winning filmmaker, making movies on the streets and back alleys of his home town, Toronto, Canada.

His feature film directorial debut, SELF DRIVER, a nano-budget pitch black comedic-thriller, premiered at Fantasia in 2024, where it took home the New Flesh Award for Best First Feature as well as and Audience Award for Best Film.

Michael lives in Toronto with his wife, daughter, two cats, two fish and a snail named Gary.
